Netball Operating System
The Operating System
for Netball
From trials and selection to teams, training and player development — manage your entire netball organisation from one intelligent platform.
Built for grassroots clubs, schools, academies, county programmes and performance centres.
The problem
Netball clubs run on spreadsheets, group chats and one very tired volunteer
Trial day is chaos
Eighty players, four courts, a paper roll call and someone rewriting the rounds by hand because three players arrived late.
Selection is hard to defend
Ratings on paper, scores that influenced each other, and no clear answer when a parent asks why their daughter was not selected.
Sensitive data is everywhere
Medical notes in a WhatsApp group. Consent forms in a folder. Nobody sure who can see what.
The platform
Ten modules. One system.
Trials are one part of it. NetballOS runs the whole club, across every season.
Trials
Build a trial in minutes, take registrations and payments online, check eligibility automatically, and arrive on trial day with everything already in order.
Explore Trials →Select
Selectors rate players courtside on their phone. Scores stay private until the Head Selector consolidates them. Every decision is recorded and explainable.
Explore Select →Players
A permanent record per athlete — identity, positions, guardians, trial history, assessments, teams and development — that follows them across every season.
Explore Players →Teams
Turn a selection into a squad. Assign coaches and managers, track membership across seasons, and give every player a visible progression.
Explore Teams →Develop
Development plans with goals, targets and reviews, backed by multi-season assessment trends so improvement is measured rather than assumed.
Explore Develop →Training
Schedule training, record attendance in seconds, keep session plans with the session, and watch attendance patterns before they become a problem.
Explore Training →Safeguard
Safeguarding and medical information held as separate, encrypted, separately-permissioned systems — reachable only by the people who should reach them.
Explore Safeguard →Finance
Card payments, refunds, payouts and reporting. Gross, fees, refunds, net and outstanding — reconciled, exportable and never a guess.
Explore Finance →Insights
Registrations, attendance, conversion, retention, position exposure, assessment distribution and revenue — for the club, the trial and the player.
Explore Insights →AI
Optional AI that highlights selector disagreement, surfaces position candidates with reasoning, and drafts development summaries. It never selects a player.
Explore AI →Trials
Publish a trial in ten minutes. Run it without a spreadsheet.
Registrations, eligibility, payments, waitlists, QR check-in and automatic round generation — all part of the same workflow.
- Fair round generation. Every player gets comparable court time and their preferred positions, worked out by a constraint solver rather than a shuffle.
- Late arrivals handled properly. Completed rounds are locked; only future rounds regenerate, and the late player catches up.
- An honest quality score. The system tells you how fair the schedule actually is, and what to change if it isn’t good enough.
- It tells you when it can’t. Sixty players, two courts and four runs each is impossible. You get told that before trial day, with the options.

Selection
Independent ratings. Consolidated properly. Fully defensible.
Selectors rate on their phone at the side of the court. They cannot see each other’s scores, so nobody anchors to anybody.
- Position-specific criteria. A goal keeper is assessed on positioning, interception and anticipation — not on shooting.
- Disagreement is surfaced, not averaged. Scores of 9, 9, 8, 4, 4 get flagged for review rather than quietly becoming 6.8.
- Nothing is overwritten. Corrections create a new record. The original stays, with who changed it and when.

What makes it different
Four things most netball software doesn’t do
It works when the venue wifi doesn’t
Roll call, live trial and selector assessment all keep working offline. Everything reconciles when you reconnect, with any conflicts shown to you rather than silently resolved.
QR check-in
Every registration generates a trial pass. Scan, confirm, and the player sees their court and round. Manual search and walk-in registration are there too.
Athlete history that spans seasons
One record per player, from their first trial to their current squad. Development is measured against their own past, not against an impression.
Safeguarding as a first-class system
Separately permissioned, encrypted, and logged on read as well as write. Available on every plan, including the £5 one.
Development & club management
Selection isn’t the end of the season. It’s the start.
Squads, coaches, training, attendance and development plans carry the work forward — and feed straight into next year’s trials.
- Teams with staff, squad roles and multi-season history
- Training sessions, plans and attendance trends
- Development plans with goals, targets and reviews
- Club, team, player and coach calendars, with iCal, Google and Outlook

NetballOS AI
AI assists. It never decides. It can highlight where selectors disagree, rank candidates for a position with its reasoning shown, and draft a development summary for a coach to edit. It cannot select a player — there is no route in the system for it to do so. It is off until you turn it on, and player names never leave the platform.
Built for
Grassroots to elite, on the same platform
A junior club with forty players and a national performance programme need the same things done well. NetballOS scales between them without changing product.
