Selection is the part of the season that generates complaints. NetballOS Select is built so that when a parent asks why, you have a complete, honest answer.
What Select does
Mobile player rater
Tap a player, rate, add a note, next player. Designed to be used standing at the side of a court, not at a desk.
Selector independence
By default selectors cannot see each other’s scores. Assessment bias by anchoring is a real effect; the system is designed to prevent it.
Your own criteria
Build assessment frameworks with weighted criteria, and different criteria per position — a goal keeper is not judged on shooting.
Consensus and disagreement
Mean, median, spread, standard deviation and selector agreement. Significant disagreement is flagged for review rather than averaged away.
Immutable history
A correction creates a new record; the original is kept. Every rating carries who, when, which round and which position.
Team builder
Drag players into squads with live balance validation — positional coverage, defensive and attacking depth, over-reliance on one player.
